Swaleh Kune Herse
Senior Financial Expert
Senior Financial Expert with over seven years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and risk management within the mining sector and non-governmental organizations. Currently serving as Finance Officer at Somali One in Baidoa. Skilled in taxation, financial reporting, and strategic planning, with a strong record of driving operational excellence and promoting sustainable growth.
Educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from KCA University, ACCA Level 2 Certification, a Diploma in Business Management from the Australian Studies Institute, and a Project Management Certificate from Google.
Dedicated to advancing organizational goals through financial expertise and strategic planning.

Nasir Osman
Project Manager
Nasir Osman, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive international experience in financial governance, compliance, and project management. Based in Mogadishu, he has worked with the World Bank and Somalia’s Ministry of Finance as a Compliance Consultant, auditing ministries for adherence to financial regulations, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating high-level stakeholder meetings.
Previously, as Senior Administrator at the Max Planck Foundation, Nasir supported legislative processes—including anti-money laundering and public financial management bills—while managing administrative teams. As a Junior Analyst at Proxy Advisory Group in Toronto, he contributed to proxy solicitation, shareholder analytics, and corporate governance.
He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of South Wales and a BA in Political Science from McMaster University. Skilled in financial crimes prevention, risk management, policy development, and stakeholder communication, Nasir is proficient in Microsoft Office and SPSS.
A dedicated community volunteer, he has coached youth sports and mentored through various programs in Hamilton, Ontario. Nasir seeks opportunities to leverage his expertise in compliance, strategic management, and financial governance.

Mukhtar Abdi Hudurow
Program Coordinator
Mukhtar Abdi Hudurow is a seasoned professional with over eight years of experience in project management, water resource management, WASH, monitoring and evaluation, and procurement and logistics. He currently serves as Climate Resilient and Natural Resources Management Officer at Somali One in Baidoa.
Mukhtar holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable Water Resources Management and Climate Change Adaptation from the University for Peace, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Daaru Salaam University, and a Diploma in Computerized Accounting from Student Care Pre-University College.
He is highly skilled in GIS, Microsoft Office, and integrated water resource management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget—supporting vulnerable communities affected by conflict and natural disasters.
Fluent in Arabic, English, and Somali, Mukhtar is deeply committed to advancing humanitarian efforts and seeks opportunities to contribute his expertise in sustainable development and resource management.

Mr Mahat
Program Officer
Mahat is Somali One project officer based in Somalia , he comes with vast knowledge in the filed of Agriculture, food security and Livelihoods for more than ten years and holds diploma in animal production from Jomo Kenyatta University Of Agriculture and Technology. He previously worked with DRC as livelihood officer for ECHO project on cash grants.
He worked with VSF-SUISSE as fodder technician in animal production programs, he also worked with other international organization working in Somalia such ADESO, FAO funded project and UNOCHA funded project. Mr Mahat is also experienced in formulating local farmers cooperatives in Somalia.

Edward Kakumu
Senior Governance Advisor
Edward kakumu is a social science practitioner of international relations with nine years proficiency working on democracy and governance related programs. He has good experience in the diplomatic etiquette, public relations, political development cooperation. He previously worked for National Democratic Institute(NDI) successfully steering the completion of over 350 workshops and trainings.
He also previously consulted on the field of research with Wasafiri on evaluating NIWETU program in Isiolo, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale and Nairobi around countering violent extremism and has focus in Focus group research, opinion Polls and key informant interviews

Muktar Wardere
Head of Governance Programs
Muktar Wardere is head of Governance programs for Somali one and is highly skilled and goal oriented professional with extensive experience and knowledge on governance and programs. Mr. Mukhtar Holds MBA from Kenyatta university and Bachelor of Arts in Development studies from Kampala International University in Uganda.
He has extensive experience previously worked at Norwegian Refugee Council as head of office program in Gedo area Somalia, as also a BRCiS consortium coordinator and further as a deputy head of office program in Dollow.
Has also worked with Islamic Relief as a livelihood micro-enterprise management officer. Mr. Mukhtar has extensive experience in carrying out community dialogues, supervision of livelihood projects.

Shamsa Yahye Mudow
Programs Coordinator
Shamsa Yahye Mudow is a detail-oriented and organized professional with a Certificate in Secretarial Studies from North Eastern National Polytechnic, offering strong administrative, communication, and time-management skills for office administration roles.
She has served as a Clerk at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), where she managed voter registration, polling station operations, and data recording, ensuring accuracy and compliance with electoral guidelines. As an Enumerator at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, Shamsa conducted census interviews, verified data, and maintained strict confidentiality.
She is currently working as Somali One office administrator in Baidoa.
Skilled in planning, problem-solving, and teamwork, Shamsa thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to enhancing office efficiency and supporting organizational goals.
